Iron Ore

Iron ores are rocks from which metallic iron can be economically extracted. These rocks are usually found in the form of hematite (Fe2O3) or magnetite (Fe3O4). About 98% of world iron ore production is used to make iron in the form of steel.

Types:
The Hematite Ore or red-ochre is called 'oxide of iron', ferrous=60-70%
The Magnetite Ore is dark brown to blackish is called 'black ore', ferrous=60-72%
The Limonite Iron Ore is yellowish is called 'hydrated iron oxide', ferrous=35-50%.

Sizes:
0.25~0.5mm, 0.5~1.0mm, 1.0~2.0mm, 2.0~4.0mm, 4.0~8.0mm, 8.0~16.0mm,16.0~32.0mm, 5-18mm, 10-40mm, 10-90mm etc.
